Htantabin (Bago) 17 October

            A fish stocking ceremony was held in Htantabin Township, Taungoo District, Bago Region in order to increase fish production, to develop fishery and to ensure fish consumption on 17 October.

            At the ceremony, Chairman and members of Township Management and Administration Committee, officials from the District and Township Departments of Fisheries, members of Township Women’s Affairs Society and Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association and fishermen were in attendance.

            The officials released 100,000 rohu fingerlings and 50,000 crap fingerlings into the Sittaung River, according to Township Information and Public Relations Department.
