Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the construction site of the Namhkhin–Namhkhun low-flow bridge, located between Wang In–Wang Luang–Wang Kan–Wang Line–Baw Pha Road in Kengtung Township, eastern Shan State, on 22 October.
During the inspection, U Win Kyaw Myo, Deputy Director General of the Rural Road Development Department, U Kyaw Zay Yan Lin, Eastern Shan State Director of the DRD, U Thein Lin, Assistant Director, and township officials reviewed the progress of the 150-foot-long, 17-foot-wide Bridge. They urged the construction company to adhere to quality standards and complete the project within the scheduled timeframe.
Upon completion, the bridge will facilitate timely transport of local goods to nearby villages and improve access to healthcare, education, and other essential services for local ethnic communities.— Aung Zin Myint (IPRD)
