THE 88th ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI) Meeting and related sessions were held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 19 to 24 October.
The meetings were attended by a delegation led by Dr Sai Kyaw Naing Oo, National COSTI Chair of the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, along with representatives from ASEAN member states, the ASEAN Secretariat, and ASEAN dialogue partners.
Discussions focused on the outcomes and resolutions of the sub-committee meetings under COSTI, the joint implementation plans for the ASEAN Plan of Action on Science, Technology and Innovation (APASTI) 2026-2035, COSTI’s priority tasks, ongoing projects of the sub-committees, and cooperation in science, technology, and innovation with ASEAN member countries and development partners such as the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States. — MNA/MKKS
