A TEACHER must guide students to distinguish between right and wrong, to correctly understand good and bad, as well as cause and effect. The future of students.
A school is not merely a place for teaching academic lessons, but also a place where the essence of education — intellectual knowledge and general understanding — is imparted. It should be a place that nurtures the ability to think critically, to distinguish between right and wrong, and to instil moral and civic values in students.
The foundation of a nation’s development lies in having an abundance of educated and skilled human resources. The State is therefore striving to build a prosperous and progressive future nation through citizens equipped with comprehensive knowledge and expertise, while also working to advance a high-quality, well-rounded education system. To support such progress, the government has been increasing the annual budget allocated to the education sector.
A teacher is a guide who nurtures love and compassion among human beings, one who brings beauty to the lives of students and to the world, and one who helps ease their suffering. Teachers must not only impart academic knowledge but also nurture the minds of their students. They should teach their students to have empathy for others and to rise above self-interest, fostering in them a spirit of altruism and a desire to work for the greater good. Teachers should nurture and train their students to become well-rounded and capable young people endowed with physical, intellectual, moral, economic, and social strengths so that they may grow into virtuous and dependable citizens who will contribute to the future of the nation.
Teachers need to work in collaboration with parents and local communities to ensure that every school-age child has access to education. They should also strive to reduce the rate of premature school dropouts, improve student promotion rates, and teach students to achieve literacy and proficiency appropriate to their grade level. They should nurture students to become young people who can distinguish right from wrong, think with wisdom.
As reflected in the phrase “National Discipline School,” teachers should train their students to begin by observing school discipline and to develop the habit of respecting and abiding by laws, rules, and regulations, thereby nurturing them into disciplined and responsible citizens. Teachers should also cultivate in students from various regions positive mindsets, a spirit of cooperation and participation, unity and solidarity, and a willingness to help and support others.
