Myothit Township in Magway Region has successfully cultivated 64,201 acres of rain-fed paddy this year, and the crops are thriving, according to the Township Department of Agriculture.
The Township Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department is providing water for rain-fed paddy cultivation through the Nat Mauk, Pulin, Swan, and Saddan dams to support local farmers.
Meanwhile, officials from the Township Agriculture Department have conducted field training sessions to help farmers select and grow high-yield crop varieties suited to the region. They have also provided guidance on systematic cultivation methods, proper soil and fertilizer management, and the use of appropriate agricultural technologies.— Than Win Htun (IPRD)
