AS part of Myanmar-China friendship, the Department of Paediatrics from Yankin Children’s Hospital (Yangon) and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from Fuwei Hospital of Yunnan Province of the People’s Republic of China jointly diagnosed and treated children with congenital heart disease at Yankin Children’s Hospital yesterday.

A total of 28 children with congenital heart disease, who were being treated at Yankin children’s hospital, were examined, and arrangements are being made to take, children who need surgery to Fuwei hospital of Yunnan Province of the People’s Republic of China, for treatment, as they have previously provided free transport.

As a part of the China-Myanmar Friendship Health Support, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs donated nutritional supplements to children with congenital heart disease aged six months to nine years old who are undergoing heart treatment at Yankin Children’s Hospital on 25 October in cooperation with the Kunming Yundi Behaviour and Health Research Centre (China) and the Myanmar-China Relations Association. — Nyein Thu (MNA)/ MKKS
