MYANMAR detained 28 Indonesians, 20 Filipinos, two Nepalis and one Vietnamese, totalling 51 individuals, involved in telecom fraud and other criminal activities in Kayin State, yesterday, and also another 143 foreigners from 17 countries were identified.

Between 30 January and 30 October 2025, a total of 10,691 illegal immigrants were identified and detained in Myanmar. Of this number, 9,365 individuals have already been deported through Thailand to their respective countries, while arrangements are being made to deport the remaining 1,326 individuals. These individuals are currently under detention while awaiting repatriation. The government is strictly cracking down on online scams and online gambling by cooperating with other countries, including neighbouring countries. — MNA/KTZH
