THE Yangon Computer Enthusiasts Association and the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization building on 31 October, according to U Chan Thar Kyi Soe, Joint Secretary of the organization.
The Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization had previously signed an MOU in March with the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Association to provide mutual support in technical and construction knowledge for the Yangon Film City project, in addition to collaborating with the Yangon Computer Enthusiasts Association for new-generation film development.
“Today, we are collaborating with the Yangon Computer Enthusiasts Association to support technology-driven activities based in Yangon. Through this, our goal is to train and nurture young talent for the film sector. The main focus is on developing human resources, particularly strengthening the foundational technical skills related to filmmaking,” said U Chan Thar Kyi Soe.
Although the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization has not signed MOUs with all parties, there are cooperating sister associations. These include the Myanmar Theatrical Association, Myanmar Music Association, and Myanmar Press Council, which are also participating in the collaborative efforts. — ASH/KZL
