A delegation led by Mr Andrey Aleksandrovich Travnikov, Governor of Novosibirsk of the Russian Federation, cur­rently in Myanmar, arrived in Yangon by Tatmadaw special flight yesterday.

The governor met Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein at the meeting hall of the Yangon Region government office to discuss the regional development activities and investments, and exchanged gifts.

He also met the president, general secretary and exec­utive members of UMFCCI at its office, and discussed business-related matters and further investment.

The Russian delegation visited the Shwedagon Pago­da and observed the religious edifices of the pagoda.

At noon, the Russian delegation left Yangon for Russia by flight, and the rel­evant officials saw them off at Yangon International Airport. Before their departure, the Yangon Region chief minis­ter presented a travel pho­to album to the Governor of Novosibirsk. — Zwe Htet Ko (IPRD)/KTZH
