AT the 15th time of Sitagu eyesight donation of Sitagu Cakku Dana Hospital in Yangon, follow-up medical examination and surgery will be provided for more than 260 patients on 13 November, according to the hospital.
No new patients will be accepted for this time but 261 out of those who received medical examination in September and left to undergo surgery will be covered. The hospital will make call to all who are in surgery list and warned those who need to take aspirin to stop taking the drug.
At the 14th time of eyesight donation conducted from 17 to 23 September, a total of 2,076 eye patients were covered, of them, 475 underwent surgery and up to over 50 received laser treatment. As of the previous round, a token system has been practised for registered patients so that they won’t lose the right to access to the free healthcare, as there are people who come to the hospital without registering.
At the 13th round, the hospital provided medical examination for 16,147 patients, surgery service for 4,949 and laser treatment for 314 and helped total 5,263 restore their eyesight, according to the hospital. — MT/ ZS
