MPT has announced that it con­tinues to invite participation in the “Celebrate Together with MPT: Tazaungdine Festival Commemorative Photography Contest”, held as part of the preservation and promotion of Myanmar’s traditional culture and customs.

 

On the full moon day of Tazaungmone, 15,000 oil lamps were lit in devotion at prominent pagodas in Yangon, including the Botahtaung Pagoda, Kaba Aye Pagoda, and Sule Pagoda, as well as at Yattawmu Pagoda in Shan State (East). Later, on 6 Novem­ber, lamps were lit at Shwe Byine Phyu Pagoda in Mon State, and on 8 November at Shwemawdaw Pagoda in Bago Region (East).

 

Mr Yoshinori Yagi from the Commercial Department of MPT-KSGM Joint Operations said, “During the Tazaung­dine Festival, alongside the lamp-lighting ceremonies, we are holding a commemorative photography contest from 1 to 13 November. We warmly invite everyone to participate in the ‘Celebrate Together with MPT: Tazaungdine Festival Commem­orative Photography Contest’.”

 

As part of the festival, the photography contest has been ongoing from 1 to 13 November, inviting photography enthusiasts to submit their entries.
