THE Brazilian ambassador to Myanmar organized the 203rd Anniversary of Brazil’s Independence Day at his residence in Yangon yesterday.
Brazilian Ambassador Mr Gustavo Rocha de Menezes and officials cordially greeted Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and attendees.
The event began with the national anthems of the two countries, and the Brazilian ambassador made a speech and hosted a dinner event.
The event was also attended by Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay, ambassadors and chargés d’affaires ad iterim of foreign embassies in Yangon and resident representatives of the UN and invitees. — MNA/KTZH
