YANGON Region Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committee Chairperson Daw Hnin Zar Chi Oo and committee members visited the maternal and child welfare association-operated maternity clinic in Dawbon Township, Botahtaung District, at around 12 noon yesterday to provide necessary support to expectant and new mothers.
During the visit, the chairperson, committee members, and officials from the Botahtaung District and Dawbon Township Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committees presented nutritional supplements, including dried fish packs, eggs, iodized salt, vitamin tablets, and diaper cloth, to five mothers who had recently given birth. Each mother also received K15,000 in cash assistance.
Following the donation, officials inspected the maternity home and gave guidance for further improvements. They also visited the traditional medicine herbal garden located in front of the maternity home. — Chit Su Wai (IPRD)/KZL
