ACCORDING to Mr San Khun, CEO of the Chinese Textile & Garment Association in Myanmar (CTGA), five Chinese textile firms — Semir, Balabala, Jeanswest, Bosideng, and Baleno — have invested in Myanmar following the successful organization of the Myanmar Textile and Machinery Trade Fair 2023 and the Myanmar Textile and Machinery Trade Fair 2024.
The third Myanmar Textile and Machinery Trade Fair 2025 will be held for three days from 5 to 7 December at the Yangon Convention Centre (YCC) within the Inya Lake Hotel compound. Around 100 Chinese and Myanmar garment manufacturers will participate in the exhibition to be jointly organized by the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA) and the Chinese Textile & Garment Association in Myanmar (CTGA), with the support of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, China.
About 10 Chinese firms and over 100 exhibitors specializing in textiles, garments, related accessories, and garment machinery will showcase their products at the fair. In addition, Made-in-Myanmar products from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be featured to promote the local market. — ASH/MKKS
