The National Kandawgyi Gardens in PyinOoLwin, first established in 1924 and now operated by the Htoo Group of Companies under a 15-year lease since 2010, span a total of 436.96 acres, including 366.96 acres of land and about 70 acres of water surface.

According to U Zaw Min Tun, warden of the National Kandawgyi Gardens (PyinOoLwin), more than 200,000 flowering plants are on display at the 18th “Immersive Flowers Festival” held at the National Kandawgyi Gardens (PyinOoLwin).

He said, “We are holding this flower festival with several aims – to make it one of the garden’s signature events, to present seasonal flowers in one place at the same time in creative and striking arrangements that offer visitors complete enjoyment, to develop the festival into an international-standard event for both domestic and foreign tourists, to support Myanmar’s floral industry, to promote greater appreciation of the natural environment, to boost Myanmar’s tourism sector, and to contribute to regional development.

“At the opening ceremony held on the morning of 6 December, renowned singers Phoe Thauk Kya, May Thet Htar Swe and other vocalists performed. The festival will continue until 4 January and will feature daily entertainment, including musical performances and other entertainment programmes, allowing flower lovers and music fans to relax and enjoy themselves. With this good news, we warmly invite everyone to visit.”

During the one month of the 18th “Immersive Flowers Festival”, musical performances and other engaging entertainment programmes will be held on crowded days, including opening-day events. During Christmas, New Year and Independence Day holiday weeks, additional programmes such as magic shows and dance performances will also be included.
