STATE Security and Peace Commission Member and Un­ion Minister for Border Affairs and for Ethnic Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, along with Shan State Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col Sein Win and other officials, visited the Women’s Domestic Vocational Training School (Monghsat) yesterday morning. During the visit, they met with staff, trainers, and trainees, present­ed cash and prizes, inspected practical training sessions, dormitories, dining halls, a 200,000-gallon water storage tank, and a tailoring shop es­tablished by the school, and provided recommendations for necessary improvements.

 

The Union minister then inspected the construction of a 150-by-13-foot suspen­sion bridge on the Wanhong– Phaphe inter-village road in Wanhong village, Monghsat Township, providing instruc­tions for its completion. He also met staff at the Mongton Town­ship Development Supervision Office.

 

The Union minister pro­ceeded to review the construc­tion of a two-mile-and-two-furlong gravel road, including four box culverts, on the en­trance road to Naunglong Vil­lage, Langkho Township. He emphasized the importance of residents working togeth­er to complete the project on schedule, meeting the required standards, maintaining the road in the long term, and co­ordinating submissions from the community.

 

Finally, the Union minister inspected the construction of a 30-by-14-foot concrete bridge on the Mongnai–Kinton–Long­san inter-village road, as well as the condition of the access road and the gravel-filled retaining wall, providing instructions on the necessary measures to be taken. — MNA/MKKS
