UNION Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and for Hotels and Tourism, and Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, and responsible personnel attend­ed the South-East Asia Games Federation Council (SEAGF) Meeting held yesterday morn­ing at the Grand Four Winds Ho­tel to prepare for the successful holding of the 33rd South-East Asian Games.

 

At the meeting, Dato’ Seri Chaiyapak Siriwat, CEO of the SEAGF Office, delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by speeches from At­thakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Min­ister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, and Honourable As­sistant Professor Pimol Sriviko­rn, Chair of the SEAGF Council and President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand.

 

Subsequently, leaders from 11 participating countries dis­cussed the necessary prepara­tions to ensure the successful organization of the 33rd SEA Games.

 

In addition, Deputy Minis­ter for Information U Ye Tint, together with Yangon Region Social Affairs Minister U Htay Aung, visited the National Broadcasting Service of Thai­land in Bangkok. They observed the coordination efforts being made to enable MRTV, MRTV- 4, and Hey Play to receive and broadcast news coverage of the Games. Officials emphasized the need to broadcast compe­tition updates in real time, al­lowing the people of Myanmar to follow the events live and support their athletes. — MNA/ MKKS
