SAGAING Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw inspected the distribution of construction materials provided by the National Disaster Management Committee to the quake-hit wards and villages in Sagaing at the Myanma Ag­ricultural Development Bank, Sagaing District, yesterday.

He also oversaw the reconstruc­tion of the arch of Sagaing Region and the working processes of the combined team of the Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force at Ayeyawady Bridge (Ya­danabon), and made proper instruc­tions.

During the meeting with the combined teams of the Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force of Ayeyawady (Yadanabon) and Kantalu camps of Sagaing at the Sagaing District General Administration Department’s meeting hall, the relevant officials reported on their respective work plans, and the chief minister instructed the necessary measures to be carried out.

He attended the meeting with the ward administrators of Sagaing to discuss holding a multiparty democ­racy general election at Athinkhaya Guesthouse in Sagaing, as well as the ceremony to distribute urea fertilizers, seedlings, and drum seeders for the 2025-2026 edible oil crops and summer paddy target at the city hall.

He also observed the sunflower plantation of the Agriculture Depart­ment near the bank of the Ayeyawady River. — IPRD/KTZH
