AT the 27th general meeting of the National Development Company Group, held at 10 am yesterday at the office of the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Federation in Thingangyun Township, Yangon, Chairman U Shwe Kyaing stated that the company has paid over K4 billion in taxes to the government.

“Currently, it is difficult to conduct business because it is the election period. I believe that the incoming government will support us, as ours is a public company. Construction is our main business, while livestock and agriculture are fundamental industries essential to the State. These sectors are crucial for the country. Livestock and agriculture are indispensable, so we must also engage in these areas, even if they do not yield the highest profit,” said U Shwe Kyaing.

The meeting then approved the Board of Directors’ report, the financial statements, and the audit report for the 2024–2025 financial year. Shareholders’ questions and suggestions were also discussed. — Bala/MKKS
