IF THE education sector is weak, other sectors will also weak­en. Due to shortcomings in education, generational progress may decline or become stagnant. Therefore, to build a modern nation in the future, it is necessary to nurture and produce a large number of well-educated, skilled, and capable human resources.

Efforts must be made to support education so that a disciplined and orderly human society can be shaped. As the saying goes, “The school initiates disciplines for the nationals,” children must receive guidance and instruction from their teachers during their learning period. Teachers should provide careful instruction and guidance, keeping in mind the students’ future, so that they grow up to become virtuous and capable individuals.

In practice, children who have attended school can be seen to have better discipline than those who have missed chanc­es to attend school. Moreo­ver, discipline and adherence to rules will vary according to the grade level they have reached. The ability to follow rules and maintain order will benefit these children in their future lives. In addition, they will develop good habits, be­haviours, and ways of living that can help improve their own lives.

Teachers must also ed­ucate their students about avoiding the use of harmful substances such as cigarettes, alcohol, and chewing betel quid, which are detrimen­tal to themselves and their surroundings. Only then will children gain the awareness that they should avoid these harmful substances in their lives. If students are taught systematically in this way, it will be possible to nurture a valuable new generation of young people with strong dis­cipline and good character.

Teachers must not only provide academic instruction to students but also share practical knowledge and general wisdom that can be applied immediately in real life. They should be able to teach and guide students with knowledge appropriate to their age. Only then will well-rounded and outstanding young individuals emerge. Although the instruction and training provided by teachers may seem strict, the knowledge and wisdom gained from it will later bring sweet and lasting benefits to the lives of the students in the future.

As the national government, efforts are being prioritized and supported to promote educational development. Investments in education are essentially investments in the future of the nation. Although these investments may not yield immediate economic benefits, they will produce significant results over time.
