SHAN United continued their winning momentum in the 2025- 2026 Myanmar Women’s League with a convincing 3-0 victory over YREO on the opening day of Match 11, played at Thuwunna Training Ground-1 on 28 Decem­ber.

 

Shan United secured back-to-back wins in the second round after overcoming YREO once again. Although their chances of lifting the title this season re­main slim, the Shan-based side has continued to apply pressure on teams at the top of the table.

 

Shan United took the lead in 45+2 minutes through Yu Yu Naing, before Nant May Thazin doubled the advantage in the 60th minute. Yupa Khine sealed the win with a penalty in the 90th minute.

 

After this match, Shan Unit­ed have collected 19 points from 10 matches, while YREO remain on 10 points from 10 matches.

 

Match 11 will continue on 29 December, with Young Lionesses set to face Yangon United at the Yangon United Sports Complex. — Shine Htet Zaw/KZL
