Kyaikmaraw, 14 October


A house has been engulfed by the fire in Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State, according to a source from the Information and Public Relations Department.


The fire broke out at a house of a man identified as U Aye Win from Kyantaw Village, Kyaikmaraw Township at about 11 a.m. yesterday and it was believed to have started from ember in the kitchen. Local firefighters led by commander of the township fire brigade U Phyo Wai Aung rushed to the scene of fire and brought the flame under control.


The fire torched the house but no one was injured in the incident. Action has been taken against the house owner over fire negligence by the local police.
