Three houses were burnt to ashes in a fire in Sangyoung Township, Yangon Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
    

The fire broke out at the house of a woman named Daw San San Myint on Bawanar Lane in Mont Let Saunggon Ward in Sangyoung at about 12 noon on August 17. The fire is believed to have been started from an overheated mian breaker and the flame was extinguished with the use of 38 fire engines and water tankers.
    

The blaze was completely put out in 25 minutes but three homes were destroyed by the fire. The home owner is being questioned over fire negligence by the police.
