Two people were killed and five others injured after falling from an excavator in Thantlang Township, Chin State, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

The incident occurred at about 2 p.m. on September 6 when seven people fell from an excavator on a mountain slope near Bontalang Village in Thantlang Township. Two men died on the spot and five other sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The injured were sent to a public hospital and the excavator driver is being questioned over reckless driving by the police.—MOHA
