Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population held a coordination meeting of Central Receiving and Distributing Committee on COVID-19 Medical Devices for 2020 General Election yesterday afternoon in Nay Pyi Taw.

Union Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint yesterday inspected Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) in Tatkon Township, Printing and Publishing Department in Zeyathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Printing Factory and the Press House of News and Periodicals Enterprise (NPE) in Nay Pyi Taw.

Myanmar is importing COVID-19 medical devices from China for the November 8 General Election. The devices, including KN95 masks, boots and PPE medical protective clothing sets, reached Yangon by five special flights and Mandalay by seven special flights yesterday, and will be distributed for voters, polling station staff and volunteers in the 2020 General Election.

A total of 28 COVID-19 positive patients who were receiving medical treatment in Minbu District People’s Hospital were discharged from the hospital this morning, according to Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr. Tint Khaing.

With the aim of providing enough drinking water to rural people in all seasons, the Department of Rural Development will be undertaken rural water supply projects in four villages in Yenangyaung Township, Magway Region in 2020-2021 FY.
